Buckwheat
July is the month I plant cover crops in my containers and garden beds. Some years I've planted my extra bean and pea seeds or buckwheat. Un-hulled buckwheat is sometimes available in bulk at the natural food stores.
I've also purchased cover crop seeds specifically designed to control root knot nematodes.
